How to deposit OM to MoMo or MoMo to OM with Switchn (online and offline)

With Switchn, easily deposit money from Orange Money (OM) to MTN Mobile Money (MoMo), whether you are connected to the internet or offline via SMS or Facebook Free Mode.

Requirements

• The recipient's number must be active and registered with the respective operator (OM or MoMo).
• Ensure you have sufficient balance and your Mobile Money PIN ready to confirm the transaction.

Online Method (using the Switchn app)

1. Open the Switchn app.
2. Go to the Send tab.
3. Enter the recipient's phone number (OM or MoMo).
4. Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
5. Select your payer wallet (OM or MoMo).
6. Tap Next, verify the fees, and confirm by pressing Send.
7. Authorize the transaction via the operator's notification by entering your Mobile Money PIN.

Offline Method (via SMS or Facebook Free Mode)

For offline deposits, you must use the Switchn app to generate the message.

1. Open the Switchn app and navigate to the Send tab.
2. Enter the numbers (recipient and payer) and the amount.
3. If you are offline, Switchn will automatically offer offline options:

• • Send via Facebook (Free Mode):
  • • The app automatically copies a formatted message.
    • Paste this message unchanged into Facebook Messenger in Free Mode.
  • Send via SMS (operator fees apply):
  • • The app opens your SMS messaging app with a pre-filled message.
    • Send this SMS without modifying it.

Best Practices

• Always double-check the numbers carefully before confirming.
• If you encounter delays, check your transaction history in Switchn after a few minutes and refresh the page.
