Recovering Funds Sent as Airtime by Mistake (Switchn Users Only)

Sometimes, users accidentally send airtime instead of performing a funds transfer through Switchn. If this happens, Switchn provides a special service exclusively for registered Switchn users, allowing partial recovery of the funds by converting airtime back to cash at 80% of the airtime's original value.

Important Conditions:

• This service is exclusively available for Switchn users.

• Requests from the general public (non-Switchn users) will not be honored.

• Refunds will only be made to the original phone number that was used for the transaction on Switchn. This policy prevents fraudulent activities and misuse.

• If the original transaction cannot be traced on Switchn, the request will not be processed.

How to Return Airtime via Me2U:

To send airtime back to Switchn, you must use the Me2U service provided by MTN Cameroon or Orange Cameroon.

MTN Me2U Transfer:

Orange Me2U Transfer:

• Dial:

# 144 * 697316283 * amount #

Make sure to replace amount with the actual airtime amount you mistakenly sent and use your Me2U PIN for MTN transfers.

After Sending the Airtime:

Once you have successfully sent the airtime back to Switchn:

1. Take a screenshot of the confirmation message.

2. Send the screenshot, the original phone number used for the transaction, and the full name of the intended recipient to Switchn's support via chat or email.

Additional Information on Me2U:

• Me2U PIN:

• For MTN users, this is a specific PIN created for airtime transfers. If you've never created a PIN, you can use 0000 or create one by dialing * 150 #.

• For Orange, no specific PIN is required; you simply confirm the transaction after dialing the code.

• Charges:

• Creating or using Me2U codes typically does not incur any additional charges. The Me2U transfer however has charges.

Example MTN Me2U Transfer:

This transfers 5000 FCFA airtime to Switchn's MTN number using a default PIN.

Example Orange Me2U Transfer:

This transfers 5000 FCFA airtime to Switchn's Orange number.
