Why was my refund sent to my Switchn funds instead of my MoMo or Orange Money account?
When we refund a transaction, we send the money directly to your Switchn funds to ensure you receive 100% of your original amount. Previously, refunds via cash-in meant you received the amount minus transaction fees already paid to payment processors. Now, refunding directly to your Switchn funds ensures you immediately receive the full refunded amount.
No extra fees: Keep the full refunded amount.
Flexibility: Easily resend funds or transfer them back to your MoMo or Orange Money account anytime.
You can transfer your funds easily:
Open the Switchn app.
Navigate to your Switchn funds.
Initiate a transfer to your preferred MoMo or Orange Money account.
Yes, if you prefer a direct refund, please contact our support team via the in-app chat. Please note that direct refunds will be subject to transaction fees already paid to payment processors, meaning you'll receive the refunded amount minus these fees. For example, if your total payment was 10,200 frs (10,000 frs transfer amount + 200 frs transaction fee) and the transfer failed because the receiver number doesn't have a mobile money account, a direct refund would only return 10,000 frs (excluding the 200 frs fee). However, refunding to your Switchn funds would return the full 10,200 frs you initially paid, saving you from losing the 200 frs transaction fee.
Thank you for choosing Switchn!
