Airtime Delivered but CAMTEL Bundle Activation Failed: What to Do
When you buy a CAMTEL bundle on Switchn, the process happens in two steps:
- Switchn sends airtime to your CAMTEL SIM card.
- Switchn then uses that airtime to activate the bundle.
If the second step fails, the airtime usually remains on your SIM card.
What to do now
- First dial
*857#to check your main balance and see whether the bundle is already active. - If the bundle is not active, dial the CAMTEL USSD code for that bundle.
- If you do not know the exact bundle code, dial
*825#to open the CAMTEL Blue menu. - You can also open Switchn and check the
USSD Codessection for the exact code to dial. - If needed, go to
Historyin Switchn and retry the activation. - You can also use
Convert Airtimeto activate another compatible CAMTEL bundle.
Important to know
- Once airtime has been delivered to your SIM card, it cannot be converted back to Mobile Money.
- A failed bundle activation does not always mean the airtime was lost.
- In many cases, the airtime is still on the SIM card and the bundle can be activated manually.
Common reasons this can happen
- CAMTEL temporarily returns a
system error - Another bundle order is still pending on the SIM card
- The SIM card is not eligible for that bundle
- The SIM card is inactive or not properly registered
- Some offers, such as Blue Home, require special CAMTEL equipment or a special SIM card

Please contact Switchn support if:
- you checked with
*857#and the airtime is not there - the bundle is still not active after dialing the correct USSD code
- CAMTEL keeps rejecting the offer
- you are not sure which bundle code to use
