CAMTEL bundle activation errors: what to do
CAMTEL bundle activation can fail for reasons that come from CAMTEL, the SIM card, or the selected bundle. Use the message shown in your Switchn transaction history to decide the next step.
Payment debited but bundle not active
If your payment was debited and the bundle is not active, open your Switchn transaction history first.
- If the transaction is still pending, wait a short while and check again.
- If the transaction failed or stayed pending, contact Switchn support with the transaction reference or payment proof.
- If airtime was delivered to your CAMTEL SIM, the airtime is normally still on the SIM and can be used for a retry or manual activation.
Common causes
CAMTEL system error
CAMTEL may temporarily reject or delay bundle activation. Retry from the Switchn app if a retry option is available. If the same error continues, wait and try again later, or contact CAMTEL support.
Insufficient airtime on the SIM
The CAMTEL SIM must have enough airtime for the selected bundle. Recharge the SIM, then retry the bundle activation or buy the bundle directly in Switchn if it is available.
Inactive or suspended SIM
A SIM can become inactive after long periods without use or recharge. Recharge the SIM and try again. If it still does not work, contact CAMTEL.
Bundle not compatible with the SIM
Some bundles require a specific CAMTEL SIM or device, such as Blue Home offers. If a bundle is not compatible, choose another bundle or visit a CAMTEL agency.
Previous activation still pending
If a previous activation is still processing, wait before retrying. Repeated retries can create confusion if CAMTEL finishes the first activation later.
Check your balance
You can check the CAMTEL balance from your SIM using the CAMTEL balance options available on your phone or through CAMTEL support channels.
Need help?
Contact Switchn support if the payment or Switchn transaction status is the problem. Contact CAMTEL if the SIM, APN, bundle compatibility, or CAMTEL network status is the problem.
