How to transfer money between Orange Money and MTN Mobile Money

Use Switchn to transfer money between Orange Money and MTN Mobile Money accounts.

Steps

1. Open the Switchn app.
2. Tap OM-MOMO or Send.
3. Enter the receiver's phone number.
4. Enter the amount you want to send.
5. Choose your payer number: Orange Money or MTN Mobile Money.
6. Review the transfer details, then confirm.
7. Approve the payment prompt with your Mobile Money PIN.

The receiver is notified when the transfer completes. You can also check the transaction status in your Switchn transaction history.

If the transfer is delayed

If your payment was debited but the receiver has not received the money, contact Switchn support from the app or help center. Share the transaction reference or payment proof so the team can check the transfer faster.
